Residents at Winchester care home had a brilliant day celebrating the Hindu festival of Diwali.
Residents at Flowerdown Care Home, in Harestock Road, took part in the festivities on Saturday, November 9.
The home was decorated with bright colours and lights by the residents themselves, with support from the Flowerdown team.
Diwali, known as the 'festival of lights', is celebrated by Hindus all over the world, with the main purpose of honouring Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth.

The celebration included the lighting of lamps, which are believed to help Lakshmi find her way into people's homes.
The residents spent time learning about the significance of the festival and the customs associated with it.
A spokesperson for Flowerdown Care Home said: "Residents assisted the Flowerdown team with decorating the home, making it colourful and bright.
"Diwali honours Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, the lamps help Lakshmi find her way into people’s homes."
