TICKETS are now on sale for the next Winchester 10K race.

The annual race will be in the city centre on Sunday, February 23.

The race will feature a one-lap closed road route, starting outside the Winchester Guildhall in The Broadway. The route then heads up St George’s Street, before turning north towards Kings Worthy. The return leg of the run passes through Headbourne Worthy and back towards Winchester before finishing at the North Walls Recreation Ground.

The entry fee for the race ranges from £24 to £62, with the entry fee coming with chip timing, free photos and a finisher medal. This year the organisers, Challenging Events, has partnered with the Hampshire Hospitals Charity.

The race will begin early on February 23, with participant registration from 7.15am and the official mass start at 8.30am. The course will close at 10.30am.

Several roads will be closed in the city centre from 8.15am. The closures include Andover Road, Worthy Road, Hyde Street and Wellhouse Lane, with diversions in place.

Roads will open from 10.15am or earlier as the race passes through.
