A POPULAR milkshake shop has abruptly closed for business, announcing its intention to move to a bigger unit in the near future.
Shakeaway, which opened on the High Street in 2007, put up a sign today, November 7, saying it would no longer be trading from its store in the Brooks Centre, where it moved in 2021.
The notice said: "Dear customer we are sad to say that this store is now closed. We are relocating to a bigger store in the near future. We will announce the new location on our Facebook account nearer the time.
"We wish you and your families a fantastic Xmas and we will see you in the New Year."

The national chain describes itself as "the world's largest milkshake bar company since 1999".
As well as having more than 200 stores in the UK, Shakeaway has now begun trading internationally, with several stores in Jordan.
These will soon be joined as the company prepares to set up shop in Poland, Dubai, Egypt, Malta, Saudi Arabia and the USA.
It is unclear whether Shakeaway will reopen in Winchester city centre or whether it will move to one of the outer areas of town.
