FOUR finalists from Winchester have been announced for the 2024 Tourism South East Beautiful South Tourism Awards.

These awards celebrate excellence within the tourism sector.

A total of 75 finalists from tourism and hospitality businesses in South East England have been announced, with the competitors having to wait until Tuesday, December 10 to find out if they will win Gold, Silver or Bronze awards.  Additionally, 16 businesses have rewarded with Commended status.

The finalists from the Winchester area are:

  • Army Flying Museum, Stockbridge (Small visitor attraction of the year)
  • Wallops Wood Cottages, Droxford (Dog friendly business of the year, and Self-catering accommodation of the year, sponsored by Quality in Tourism)

  • Winchester Science Centre by Wonderseekers, Winchester (Accessible and inclusive tourism award)
  • Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market 2023, Winchester (Tourism event/festival of the year)

The winners will be announced by Toby Anstis at a n awards ceremony at the Grand Brighton.

Winning businesses in some categories will also have the opportunity to compete nationally and represent the South East at the 2025 VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
