A WINCHESTER man has been slapped with a restraining order after pleading guilty to stalking.
Simon Elkins, 48, of Oglander Road, Abbotts Barton, stalked a woman between November 7, 2023 and March 19, 2024, a court heard.
Appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Monday, September 9, Elkins pleaded guilty.

On Monday, November 4, Elkins was hit with a restraining order, banning him from contacting the woman directly or indirectly. The order is in effect until November 3, 2026.
He has also been given a community order to comply with any instructions of the responsible officer to attend appointments or to participate in any activity as required by the responsible officer up to a maximum of 10 Days.
Elkins has also been fined £40, and must also pay a £114 victim surcharge and £45 costs. The total amount of £199 must be paid by December 3.
