Referring to the Advertiser article by Ross Marshal on Friday November 1 regarding proposed new homes in Romsey and comments within the article about developers from outside the county wanting to make a fast buck, I totally agree with the comments.
Add to the ongoing countess Mountbatten scenario with yet another contractor wanting to develop the existing site yet again and no more to make money, the present government and, in particular, Angela Rayner with her pie-in-the-sky ideas on housing leaves a lot to be desired.
Yes additional housing is required, I think we all agreed on this point, however, Romsey and surrounding villages have had ongoing housing developments for the past three years and with all this additional housing no additional infrastructure incorporating new dental doctors surgeries and schools that are desperately required!
The present surgeries and schools are already overstretched. Any form of approved planning on housing should be declined by Test Valley unless this clueless government get their act together with all the promises!
Additional funding for dentists, doctors and indeed teachers and of course the buildings required.
