Winchester city centre restaurant Forte Kitchen has closed unexpectedly and temporarily.
Forte Kitchen in Parchment Street has closed due to "urgent repairs and maintenance", along with its sister cafe, The Hatch, according to a notice in the window.
There has been no suggestion as to what caused the sudden closure, Forte Kitchen's social media pages have not given any details.

The management says they will be back open on Friday, November 8 and have been approached for comment. At the time of writing, there has been no comment.
The restaurant and cafe are multiple award-winning, serving breakfast and lunch as well as catering for private events.
The Chronicle has approached Forte Kitchen and The Hatch for further information.
