IT's the historic building that has seen meetings of Kings and Queens, one the most important medieval structures in the country, home to Arthur's Round Table.

But it has never before hosted a Silent Disco.

The Great Hall is all set to host the event this month, getting down and medieval with would-be revellers.

Winchester's Great Hall will be hosting a silent disco on Saturday, November 23, from 7.00 pm-10.00 pm.

Standard tickets will cost £25, with students and other concessions able to get in for £22.50. All tickets come with a free drink.

The Hampshire Cultural Trust wrote on Facebook: "Choose your vibe with a selection of music channels and lose yourself under the iconic arches of the hall. Bring your friends, switch between beats and light up the night with your glowing headphones!"

The Chronicle has approached the trust for more information.
