The Brooks Shopping Centre has begun the Christmas countdown by bringing in Winchester's biggest indoor Christmas tree.
The Christmas tree, standing on top of its box, is 11 metres tall and the largest in the city, according to The Brooks Centre. It was put up last week, on November 2.
In a statement, The Brooks Shopping Centre said: "Being at the heart of Winchester The Brooks Centre sees it as an opportunity to take the lead and be a scene setter for Christmas.

"We wanted to kick start the festive celebrations as a warmup to the Christmas lights switch on the evening of the 14th November when we will be front and centre as sponsors of the Snow Globe.
"Last year was Yarrow Estates first Christmas as owners of The Brooks and we wanted to make it special by having the giant tree - it was so successful and attracted a lot of attention from locals and visitors, so we didn't want to disappoint this year.

"We have several local choirs booked throughout December to make Christmas shopping extra special and festive so we hope everyone will take the time to enjoy it. "
The Brooks Shopping Centre has announced there will be late-night shopping until 7 pm on Fridays and Saturdays commencing November 29 until December 23.
There will also be late-night shopping on November 14.
