Copythorne Parish which includes the villages of Bartley, Cadnam, Winsor, Newbridge, Ower and Copythorne has the names of 52 young men who died during the two world wars.
It is a tradition that 52 young people from the two village schools, the guides, and the scouts wear these poppies at the Remembrance Service at Copythorne.
The story of each young man is also displayed in an "Avenue of Remembrance" at St Mary’s Church next to the War Memorial and kindly made by Copythorne History Society.
The half-mile parade, which leaves the Parish Hall and ends at the War Memorial where the Service will be conducted by the Rev Neville Jacobs with the Lord Lieutenant being represented by Deputy Lieutenant The Hon Mrs V Lovell, JP who will lay the first of over 30 wreaths from national and local organisations.
Having led the parade, the Stanley’s Own Scout and Guide Band will depart the main Lyndhurst Remembrance Parade to the War Memorial on The Bench.
The service will be held on Sunday, November 10 at St Mary's Church, Copythorne at 10.50am.
