The Inner Wheel Club of Winchester has donated knitted teddy bears and hearts to Winchester Hospice.

The red knitted items, made by the club's Knit Wits group, were presented in support of the hospice's appeal towards daily operating costs.

The bears were knitted by the club's Knit Wits group (Image: Inner Wheel Club of Winchester) A club spokesperson said: "They are proving very much appreciated and they are raising much-needed funds for the hospice."

These donations are particularly significant as the hospice has been selected as the Inner Wheel charity for the year.

The items were handed over to Jo Westerman from the hospice by club president Sonia Carver and members Joy Reynolds, Margaret Billington and Sybil Thomas.
