GREEN Owslebury (GrOws) is holding its annual “Swishing” clothing swap on Saturday, September 9. The event takes place from 1.30pm to 4.30pm at Owslebury Village Parish Hall and is an afternoon of swapping clothes and accessories with fellow fashion enthusiasts.

THE annual Bishop’s Waltham Christmas Fayre is taking place on November 28 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Alongside late-night shopping, there will be craft stalls, food and drink, a mini funfair, music, and Santa on his sleigh. There will also be “celebrity guests” Elsa, Ana and Olaf from Frozen.
ONE last reminder that the Greater Winchester Neighbourhoods Police Team is holding a beat surgery at Bishop’s Waltham Country Market on Friday, November 8 from 10am to 11am. Beat surgeries are an opportunity to meet the local policing team and share concerns. Officers will be happy to provide crime prevention and personal safety advice. THIS year’s festive performance from Swanmore Amateur Dramatic Society will be Humpty Dumpty and the Magic Wall by Limelight Scripts. It will run from Thursday, November 28 to Saturday, November 30 at Swanmore Village Hall. Curtain up each evening at 7.30pm, with a Saturday matinee at 2pm. Tickets are on sale at ticketcource.co.uk/swanmoredrama or on November 2, November 9, November 16 and November 23 from the pop-up box office by Barnaby’s Coffee Shop between 10am and 12noon. Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for children, with all Saturday evening tickets priced at £10.
MEON Voices will be holding its Christmas concert at St Peter’s Church, Bishop’s Waltham, on Saturday, December 14, from 7.30pm.
This year the programme includes a moving medley from Les Misérables, three of John Rutter’s most beautiful pieces: What Sweeter Music; The Colours of Christmas and Christmas Lullaby, Eric Whitacre’s Glow and as always, audience carols. There will be an interval with tea, coffee and mince pies. There is no need to book, and whilst the concert is free to attend; there will be a cash collection, the proceeds of which will be divided between the Choir and the Church’s charities.
Anyone who wants to join the choir is welcome to do so, with Monday night practices recommencing in mid-January from 7.30pm to 9.30 pm at the United Free Church in Bishop’s Waltham.
ST BARNABAS Church, Swanmore, is holding a Christmas concert on December 7. Entitled Silent Night, the concert will welcome the Christmas season with a cappella music by Winchester Consort and readings by Shuna Rose and Aelwen Emmett. A bar will be available before the show and during the interval when tea and coffee will also be served. Doors and the bar will be open at 7pm, with the concert starting at 7.30pm.
