A former director of music at Winchester Cathedral has tied the knot.

Andrew Lumsden, who recently stepped down from the role, married Leona Mani at the Chapel of St Cross, Winchester, on Saturday, October 26.

The Right Rev David Williams, Bishop of Basingstoke, officiated the ceremony, joined by Father Dominic Chmielewski, master of the Hospital of St Cross, Canon Adrian Daffern, and Canon Charles Stewart.

The musical programme included Parry’s 'I Was Glad', selections from Mozart’s Coronation Mass, and a new descant composed by Dr Lumsden.

Dr Lumsden, son of the late Sir David Lumsden, has been making a name for himself as a freelance organist and conductor.

He continues to conduct the Waynflete Singers. Leona Mani, now Mrs Lumsden, is an interior designer and holds a directorship and trustee position at Winchester Basics Bank. She is also the safeguarding governor of Stanmore Primary School. The couple's wedding was captured by Jim Pascoe Photography.
