A salon group with a branch in Winchester is celebrating 40 years of business this November.
Haringtons was founded in 1984 by Robert Smith and has since expanded to seven branches across the south of England.
The group started as a 12-seat salon in Maidenhead and now has branches in Winchester, Amersham, Beaconsfield, Maidenhead, Marlow, Wendover, and Wokingham.
Mr Smith said: "Our core is our people, and that includes our clients. That's who we are."
The group also has a community initiative called Haringtons Helps.
This offers free cut and finish services to people in need, such as job seekers, people recovering from chemotherapy, or people who cannot afford to get their hair cut.
The group has been successful in both creative and business aspects, having been recognised at the British Hairdressing Awards and the L’Oréal Colour Trophy.
Haringtons was also named one of the Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work For.
It has also won various business awards such as Best Marketing Campaign at the British Hairdressing Business Awards, solidifying its reputation as a leader in the industry.
