A ROMSEY pub has launched its very own stout.
The Cocky Anchor on Market Place is ready to start pouring pints of "Anchor Storm", a dark beer made in collaboration with Bewdley Brewery, from Friday, November 1.
The drink is described as "a blend of seven premium malts that bring notes of chocolate for a smooth flavour. Chocolate and black malt provide a rich depth of colour and complex flavour, while malted oats enhance the body, delivering a smooth, satisfying texture".

Owner of the Cocky Anchor Ian Paxton said: “We’ve altered the bar slightly to make room for the storm to come in, people have been asking us for ages to put a stout in.
“We’ve got loads of local people coming in to try it on Friday so there’s a real excitement about this one.”
The Anchor Storm has already been launched at the Cocky Anchor’s sister pub in Worcester – also named the Cocky Anchor – which is the only other location where the new stout is available.
Locals and visitors are invited to join the Cocky Anchor and Bewdley Brewery on Friday for the launch event, offering Romsey the chance to experience this distinctive new stout firsthand.
