THERE'S a whole load of frighteningly good fun taking place this week at Paultons Park.
The theme park, in Ower, has transformed into a spooky wonderland with thousands of pumpkins and Halloween-themed decorations.
The theme park, which is also home to Peppa Pig World, is running a whole host of creepy activities throughout the half term, up to Monday, November 4.
I took a trip with my two kids to see what ghoulish wonders we could find.
The shows were fantastic - especially the Great Halloween Mystery Show which features pumpkin man Mr Pickles. He even posed for pictures with the kids after.
And that was not all from the stage, there was the Spirit Squad Ghoul School which teaches younger guests secret moves and ghost-busting grooves and also The Little Monsters Ball, as well as regular spooky stories.
The park was beautifully decorated, with plenty of Halloween photo stops, and every ride had been given a Halloween touch.
A nod must got to the gardeners at the tractor ride in Tornado Springs - their handiwork makes the kids ride as enjoyable for adults as it is the children. The tractors pass chilli plants, peppers and parsnips - plus a whole host of other plants and vegetables that I dream of growing so well at home.
We especially enjoyed spending time in dinosaur-themed world Lost Kingdom, and we even braved the new water boat ride Splash Lagoon. Well it was already raining, so a few extra splashes wouldn't hurt.
The kids loved Peppa Pig World - a real crowd-pleaser for all ages - especially the George's Dinosaur Adventure which saw us in the longest queue of the day, just 20 minutes and luckily for us undercover too.
The train ride round the park was also a highlight - providing a bit of relief from the bad weather - as was the time spent in the soft play.
We rounded a fun packed day off by taking a driving lesson in Tornado Springs and then braving the Farmyard Flyer, a family friendly rollercoaster.
This was the first time some of my party had ever been on a roller-coaster and we all loved it so much, we left the park on a high, talking about how brave they had all been, recounting every ride they had been on (there were lots) and also planning our return for the Christmas spectacular.
Paultons Park is a day packed with family fun - and a great way to get into the half-term Halloween spirit.
Tickets cost £43.50 per person, with children under one metre in height free. Go to paultonspark.co.uk
