I am grateful for Mr P J Sowerby's advice on future possible amending legislation in relation to fox-hunting (Romsey Advertiser letter, October 11).
I am at a loss to find the location of "Romsey's Conservative Association drinking club" outside which the offending lights were situated. Does he mean Romsey Conservative Working Men's Club? I am sure that if he were to venture inside that fine establishment he would find many who were able to provide an answer to the many Labour Ministers who appear unable to define "working people".
I am not sure either how many would describe Christmas as a "pagan festivity" as does Mr Sowerby. There is a hint in the name.
Simon Watson,
Jermyns Lane,
Ampfield
