A police spokesperson said: "Last night (Sunday, October 27) police responded to concerns raised by the public around a car meet of over 200 vehicles. A number of individuals associated with this were reported to be involved in dangerous and anti-social driving.
"The car meet began at Winchester Park & Ride just before 8.30pm, before the group dispersed and travelled towards the Petersfield area, finally congregating at Alton Retail Park on Mill Lane at around 10.30pm.
"Officers attended to engage with the group and were able to successfully disperse the group safely away from the area to prevent any further escalation.
"Two vehicles – a yellow BMW and a white BMW – were both seized as a result, following the drivers of those vehicles contravening previous warnings provided to them around the nature of their driving behaviour.
