ROMSEY Town Council is supporting a change of use application submitted by a children’s play area.
Katherine Betteridge, of Nash Close, Dibden Purlieu, has applied to Test Valley Borough Council for permission to change I Wanna Be Roleplay Village, in Abbotswood Common, to a mixed use children’s activity and play centre and community learning centre.
Ms Betteridge is also applying to have the site open from 8.30am to 10.30pm, so evening classes and workshops can be taught on the site. The plans state that the application is just for change of use, with no alterations to the interior or exterior of the site.

The application was discussed by the Romsey Town Council planning committee on Thursday, October 24.
Cllr John Critchley said: “What I was interested in is that it was going till 10pm at night.”
Cllr Russell Theron said: “I believe they do a number of classes in the evening.
“I would support this application.”
The committee decided to back the proposal.
