More than 50 Friends of Norwich Cathedral were hosted by Winchester's Cathedral Friends.
The visit, which took place earlier this month, celebrated both groups being honoured by King Charles with his patronage this year.
The Norfolkvisitors were treated to special tours of the cathedral. They were welcomed by the vice-dean, Canon Roly Riem, during a tea held in the Cathedral Close. In return, Winchester Friends plan to visit Norwich next year.
As the festive season approaches, Hampshire County Council's archivist, David Rymill, is set to deliver a talk on 'Christmas celebrations at the cathedral down through the centuries'.
The discussion, organised for Winchester's Friends, will be held via Zoom. While attendance is free, donations are appreciated. The Cathedral Friends organise monthly talks at reduced prices for members.
Those who join before November 15 can also enjoy priority booking for the cathedral's first carol service on December 18.
