MORE than 25 professionals from across Hampshire and the south of England faced their fears by walking over red-hot coals.
The event, an “evolution day” designed to overcome psychological barriers and boost personal development, was hosted by Evolution Empowerment Events at New Place Hotel, Shirrell Heath.
The day challenged the participants, who were predominantly business leaders, with a range of activities. These included the fire walk, a seven-foot trust fall, and a barefoot walk over glass shards.

In another activity, participants were encouraged to write down negative thoughts which may be holding them back on wooden boards, and then smash them with their bare hands.
One participant, Annie Buggins from Wonderful Life PHBS said: “The day was an absolutely incredible experience and I can’t recommend it enough. I feel so empowered to go away and use everything that I’ve learned today about myself.”
Kath Garwood, from The Sleep Nanny, said: “It was a really empowering day surrounded by a lot of supportive people. I’m taking with me a lot of things that I can put forward into my business but also my personal life.”
Jeff Shrimpton, founder and managing director of Evolution Empowerment Events said: “Evolution Days are designed to empower people to break free from self doubt, build confidence, and emerge stronger, both in their personal and professional lives.”

Jeff added that he was delighted to see how people were positively impacted by the experience, saying: “Nothing beats the feeling of being able to help others escape their comfort zone so they can unlock their true potential, and leave feeling capable and courageous.
“Every single member of the group bravely completed an exhilarating walk barefoot over hot coals - which reaches beyond temperatures of 1229°F - which allowed them to realise their capabilities and overcome thoughts of doubt.
“All of the activities organised by Evolution Empowerment Events are led by a qualified instructor and should not be replicated at home.”
