A WINCHESTER man has been fined after he pleaded guilty to assault.
Daniel Casey, 45, of Durngate, assaulted a woman by beating her on April 11, a court heard.

Appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Friday, October 18, Casey pleaded guilty to the offence.
He has been fined £120 and must pay £100 compensation. He must also pay £40 costs.
The full amount of £260 must be paid within 28 days, with the court record saying that the total will be deducted from Casey's benefits.
