Homeowners are being urged to be vigilant as Hampshire properties face the highest risk of burglary.
Analysis by home security experts Origin found that 20 raids were recorded in one day in October.
Origin analysed data from 41 police forces in England and Wales to identify peak burglary periods, and help households protect their properties.
The data revealed that the day after the clocks go forward, marking the beginning of darker evenings, is the peak time for home burglaries. In 2023, this was Monday, October 28.

Dave Ginger, Origin's in-house security expert, said: "As the days get shorter and evenings get darker, it's essential to prioritise home security. Simple steps like ensuring all external doors have high-quality locks, such as multi-point locking systems and secure frames, can make a significant difference."
Larger city areas, including London, Greater Manchester, and West Yorkshire, are most likely to be affected, accounting for more than a third of all reported incidents last year.
Outside of cities, Thames Valley, Lancashire and Hampshire are likely targets, according to the data analysis.
The burglary analysis found that Hampshire was the seventh most likely area to be affected by home burglaries.
The analysis found that most break-ins take place between October and March.
