THE inquest opened into the death of man discovered hanging at River Park in Winchester earlier this month.
Nicholas James Hill, 62, of no fixed abode, was found near Winchester Rugby Club off Nuns Road in Hyde on Saturday October 12, the court heard.
The discovery caused the cancellation of that day's parkrun at River Park.
Simon Burge, assistant coroner, said a post mortem was carried out by consultant pathologist Dr Hayley Burnley and she reported the cause of death to have been hanging.
Mr Burge today, Monday October 21, adjourned the inquest until September 10 2025.
He ordered that statements be obtained from Mr Hill's family, the person who found the body, the ambulance service, the police and Emmaus Hampshire.
