An event dedicated to fitness and wellbeing for people aged 65 and over is coming to Winchester.

FitFest65, hosted by Everycare (Central Hants) Ltd, will take place on Tuesday, October 29.

The free event will provide attendees with a variety of fitness activities, nutrition tips, healthy meal ideas and physio exercises, all specifically designed for the over-65s.

The event brings together personal trainers, nutrition experts and health professionals to showcase a holistic approach to health and mobility.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with a range of exhibitors, including Move Momentum, Elder Life Fitness, Catherine Jones Fitness, Valley Leisure, Emma Rickman Nutritionist, Winchester Boxing Club, Winchester Karate Club, Winchester Spine Clinic and Winchester Physio.

Care manager and director of Everycare (Central Hants) Ltd, Karen Whitmill, said: "As we age, physical activity and healthy habits become crucial for maintaining overall wellbeing.

"FitFest65 offers an excellent opportunity to explore fitness, nutrition and exercises that can help slow the decline in physical function, reduce the risk of mental illness and support independence well into older age.

The event takes place at The Nutshell Art Centre in Kings Walk, Middle Brook Street, from 10am until 1pm.
