STORM Ashley is set to batter parts of the UK, and Winchester may just avoid the brunt of it.
The storm will see strong winds and heavy rain across the country on Sunday, October 20 and Monday, October 21. The weather warning is already leading to chaos, with the Great South Run being cancelled in anticipation of the disruption Storm Ashley will bring.

On Sunday, Winchester can expect to see heavy rain between 8am and 1pm, with winds reaching 40mph mid morning. Temperatures will reach a high of 17C with a low of 11C in the early morning.
Monday is expected to be mainly dry, with possible light showers around lunchtime. Sunny intervals will be present for most of the day, with a high of 15C but temperatures as low as 9C by 10pm.
