Healthcare Management Trust has appointed Andrea Barker as its new area home manager for the south.

In this new role, she will oversee Marie Louise House in Romsey, Hampshire, and Norden House in Littlehampton, West Sussex.

Ms Barker will be responsible for maintaining high standards of personalised care and ensuring a safe environment for staff.

She brings nearly 40 years of experience as a registered nurse, having worked in the Royal Navy, Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, and various community care homes.

On the new role, Ms Barker said: "I'm thrilled to join Healthcare Management Trust and lead these two important community facilities that are helping many older people to live with dignity and independence."

Norden House, which opened earlier this year, provides residential care, nursing, and specialist support for people with dementia.

Marie Louise House offers nursing, respite, and specialist dementia care for up to 46 residents.

Mair Williams, COO of Healthcare Management Trust, said: "Andrea's extensive experience across different healthcare settings, coupled with her proven leadership skills, will be of immense value to both Norden House and Marie Louise House.

"Her dedication to improving patient outcomes and nurturing a positive environment for staff aligns perfectly with our values."
