The seventh annual Romsey Beer Festival has raised over £4,500 for charities.

The event, organised by the Round Table, sold out over the weekend, with 400 tickets snapped up by eager attendees.

The festival, held on October 11 and 12, showcased more than 28 beers and ciders, complemented by live music.

Oliver Stone, 'head of beer' at Romsey Beer Festival, said: "As well as all the members of Round Table, we need to thank Flack’s who help so much with the logistics in the build-up, and Donna Italia UK for keeping the drinkers fed with their wonderful pizzas.

"I also want to thank Euan Douglas, who continues to be our inspiration and driving force."

Round Table chairman William George Esq, said: "Although I personally do very little other than make radio cameos, I know a huge amount of work goes into the weekend so want to thank everyone involved.

"And especially thank you to the people of Romsey who continue to make our Beer Festival so successful and enjoyable."

Awards were given out to the most popular beers and ciders over the festival.

The First Firkin Finished award went to Hoptoberfest by Staggeringly Good, while Flack’s Gold by Flack’s Brewery was voted the Best Beer of the Festival.

The First Cider Finished award was given to Rhubarb by Snail’s Bank, and Whisky Cask by Thistly Cross was voted the Best Cider of the Festival.
