A motorcycle event, which has been running for seven years, has raised more than £1,400 for charity.

The Crown Inn's Bike Night, in King's Somborne, was started in 2017 by Keith 'Lightning' Hibdige and friends, in memory of three friends they lost in a short period.

The first event on June 28, 2017, saw just five bikes, but the event has since grown through word of mouth and social media.

The group regularly visits care homes, providing fun for residents with a range of bikes, including vintage, custom and classics.

More than £1,400 was raised at this year's end-of-summer event.

The group has had personal encounters with the air ambulance service, following accidents involving friends, including one fatality.

The bike night was formed to pay respect to all fallen and lost motorcyclists.

The organisers have expressed their gratitude to Jude and Terry, the owners of The Crown Inn, the volunteers who help marshal the meetings and everyone who attends, making the event a success.

The event has become a meaningful gathering for the motorcyclist community, bringing people together for a cause.
