A broken footbridge has been replaced thanks to the efforts of Romsey Ramblers.
The bridge was on the public footpath between Lockerley and Dunbridge and was at risk of collapse.
Hampshire’s Countryside Service had previously earmarked it for replacement.
Last year, the footbridge consisted of three sleepers, but by this summer, one had fallen into the stream, making it increasingly dangerous for walkers.

During the removal process, volunteers discovered another sleeper had rotted away and would soon have fallen into the water.
The new bridge has been built to the latest design specifications and provides improved accessibility for all users of the footpath.
It is wider than the previous structure and features handrails and kick-boards.
This replacement is one of many maintenance tasks carried out by Romsey Ramblers for the benefit of users of the local Rights of Way network.
The group, which is made up of volunteers, is always looking for more people to join their ranks.
Those interested in getting involved can contact the group through their website.
The Romsey Ramblers play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the local countryside, ensuring that the public can continue to enjoy these vital networks.
