For the past 20 years, I had a reminder that my permit would soon expire - this year it was a parking fine.
I want to alert others to look at their permit (I never did from one year to the next) and brave the MiPermit system, to get digital parking.

It was blindingly obvious that I did not know my paper permit had expired - a friendly note placed under a wiper would have sufficed to alert me.
My explanation was not accepted - the council is there to support us, not fleece us.
