WINCHESTER park run has been cancelled last minute due to an incident at the rugby club.
Park run, which runs every Saturday at 9am, was cancelled on October 12 due to emergency services dealing with an incident 'towards the rugby club'.
The organisation has apologised but stated that it was 'completely out of our control'.
It is understood that the 'last minute' cancellation occurred when participants had already arrived at North Walls Recreation Ground - where the 5k run is situated each week.

In a statement on its Facebook, Winchester park run said: "Apologies to everyone who turned up this morning for the last minute cancellation. Unfortunately it was completely out of our control - the emergency services were dealing with an incident over towards the rugby club and so we couldn't go ahead.
"We hope you understand. And a huge thank you to all our amazing volunteers (both rostered and those who helped anyway) who helped setup and then put everything away again!
"All being well we should be back next week. Our 500th event will now have to wait until 16th November (assuming no more last minute cancellations ) as we are cancelled on 9th November due to the fireworks. Watch this space for some more details about the 500th."
Hampshire Police has been contacted for more information.
