A HAMPSHIRE man has been banned from the road for a year after he pleaded guilty to driving while under the influence of drugs.
Nicholas Peach, 43, formerly of Winnall Manor Road, Winnall, Winchester, was caught driving on Wales Street on November 27 with a quantity of the cocaine breakdown BZE in his system, a court heard.
Peach, now of Chamberlayne Road, Eastleigh, underwent a blood test, returning a result of more than 240 microgrammes per litre of blood, exceeding the limit of 50 microgrammes of per litre of blood.

Appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Monday, October 7, Peach pleaded guilty to the charge.
He has been banned from driving for 12 months, and must pay a fine of £160, as well as a £65 victim surcharge and £85 costs. The total amount of £310 will be paid in fortnightly instalments of £10 deducted from Peach's benefits.
The payments will begin on November 4.
