INSTEAD of pussyfooting about, why doesn't the Government pay immediately the wronged postmasters and postmistresses £1 million each (or the balance up to that sum for those who have already received some monies).
As a pansioner, I would be quite prepared to stop moaning about the heartless withdrawl of the winter fuel payment if I thought that some of the money saved could be directed towards those so unjustly accused.
