Although anything is better than wind power which is not wholly reliable and destroys views of our pristine landscape, solar farms have a similar effect upon farm land (Chronicle, October 3).
The agreement to proceed with the latest solar farm imposes upon green belt land a nearby residents were against it.
Would it not be feasible to include solar panels on all new houses and commercial structures. Further, an idea I have is to fit a solar panel to new cars. Not a total solution, but it would lessen the need for re-charging from mains electricity.
Perhaps celery and white asparagus could be farmed under the panels!
