A MAN who drove in Winchester after taking cocaine has been banned from the road.
Abdul Shohid, 39, of Portal Road, Highcliffe, was driving a 68-reg Skoda when stopped by the police on Easton Lane, Winnall, on February 21, a court heard.
When tested he returned a reading of for Benzoylecgonine, a breakdown product of cocaine, of more than 180 mg per litre of blood when the legal limit is 50mg, making him three times the limit.

Shohid admitted the charge when he appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on July 23.
The court imposed a 17-month disqualification, backdated to start with the interim ban on July 23.
He was also fined £583, with a £233 victim surcharge and £85 costs. The total of £901 must be paid by October 31, the magistrates ordered.
