A MAN wanted by the police for an assault on a busy Winchester road has handed himself in.
Between 7.50am and 8.30am on August 30, a 50-year-old man was assaulted by an unknown male in Chesil Street, opposite the multi-storey carpark.
The victim suffered minor injuries as a result.
The police issued a photograph of a man they wanted to speak to.
A spokesperson for the police said: "The man has been identified and came in for a voluntary interview. Following an investigation, no further action will be taken."
