Theatre Royal Winchester is set to celebrate 25 years of The Gruffalo with a live stage adaptation.
The beloved children's book will be brought to life by Tall Stories theatre company from Saturday, October 19.
The story follows Mouse, who meets several woodland creatures with a taste for mouse.
However, Mouse’s tale of the terrifying Gruffalo might just be its saving grace.
Tall Stories, founded in 1997, is known for its adaptations of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's works, including The Smeds and The Smoos, Room on the Broom, and David McKee’s The Elmer Adventure.
Their productions have graced both the West End and Broadway stages.
On Saturday, October 19, a touch tour at 3.30pm will allow audience members to explore the set and props, enhancing their familiarity before the show.
A relaxed performance follows at 4.30pm, offering a supportive environment for all to enjoy the show.
A visual guide is available on the theatre’s website.
The Gruffalo will run at Theatre Royal Winchester from Saturday, October 19, to Monday, October 21, at various times.
Recommended for ages three and up, tickets and more information, including details on relaxed performances, are available on their website or by calling 01962 840 440.
