A GARDEN centre popular amongst Hampshire residents will shut its doors after the retailer announced plans to close a number of locations.
Dobbies, in Shinfield, Reading, is a part of the chain's 17 shops around the country that will close as the shops remain 'unprofitable' according to the company.
The store includes a butcher, florist, restaurant, and Waitrose food hall in addition to an outdoor clothing and equipment retailer.

The gardening company has announced the closure of 11 main centres and six Little Dobbies stores, as the shops remain 'unprofitable' according to the company.
But not closing are its stores in Andover, Havant and Cadnam.
The series of closures, which will see 17 stores shut their doors including branches in King's Lynn, Gloucester and Stratford-upon-Avon, comes after the company announced 'restructuring' plans in August.
The company's full list of stores facing closure are Altrincham, Antrim, Gloucester, Gosforth, Harlestone Heath, Huntingdon, Inverness, King's Lynn, Pennine, Reading and Stratford-upon-Avon.
Six Little Dobbies, described by the company as the 'houseplant haven in your neighbourhood' will shut.
The branches are located in Cheltenham, Chiswick, Clifton, Richmond, Stockbridge and Westbourne Grove.
The garden centre brand shared it's closing the stores in a bid to "address historically uneconomical rent costs and ensure a return to sustainable profitability".
