I AM very much in agreement with one of your letter contributors - (Chronicle, Letters, September 26). I am also appalled at the removal of the winter fuel allowance.
I have a friend in Chilbolton Avenue who doesn’t now know how he will afford to charge up his electric car, another in Sleepers Hill having sleepless nights worrying about heating his indoor pool and another whose address I can’t disclose who is at his wits end how he’s going to pay for his hydroponics this winter and is worried sick that he’ll miss this Christmas's crop! It’s appalling.
