Transition Town Romsey are holding their annual Apple Pressing weekend on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday October 6 from 10am- 4pm on each day.
The event takes place at 3 Station Road, Romsey, SO51 8DP (next to the dentist) and everyone is welcome to come along.
Why not take your spare apples/pears - any type is suitable, including cookers and falls - and turn them into freshly pressed apple juice for free.
If you don't have any apples, come along anyway, as there will be plenty to do.
As well as trying out the apple press and tasting the results; there will be an 'Apple Cafe' serving hot drinks and apple-based snacks and cakes; and between 11am and 12noon each day children will be able to do some 'Recycled Craft-making'.
Donations on the weekend will be gratefully accepted and will be used towards the upkeep of the Whitenap Community Orchard.
Transition Town Romsey ia grassroots organisation seeking to build a low-carbon community.
