Winchester Coroner's Court
An inquest has opened into the death of a Southampton woman found at the bottom of the stairs at her home.
Catherine Alpin, 55, of Twyford Avenue, Shirley, was found by her husband Dominic on September 14, a court heard in Winchester.
A post-mortem by consultant pathologist Dr Sanjay Jogai revealed she had suffered an acute spinal injury following a fall from stairs.
Area coroner Jason Pegg adjourned the inquest until August 20 2025.
