• Have your say on the local plan and development allocations - which include sites to the north of Rareridge Lane, at Tollgate Sawmill and at The Vineyard/Tangier Lane, Bishop's Waltham. Winchester City Council's new local plan will cover up to 2040, looking at issues such as climate, design, travel, nature, historic, homes, economy and allocations.   • A skate jam will take place on Sunday, September 29 at Priory Park, in Elizabeth Way, from midday until 4pm. There will be demos, music and prizes. All are welcome - including skateboarders, scooters, and BMXers. 
  • St John the Baptist Church of England Primary School in Solomons Lane, Waltham Chase will be holding open days for all prospective parents to come and view the school in action. These take place on Monday, September 30, 11am until midday, Wednesday, October 2, from 9.15am until 10.15am, Tuesday, October 8 from 3.30pm until 4.30pm, Wednesday, October 9 from 3.30pm until 4.30pm and on Friday, October 11 from 11am until midday.   • The Sustainable Waltham Chase and Swanmore Climate Café will return today, Thursday, September 26, at Shedfield Rec Pavilion, 7pm until 9pm. The group is made up of local residents who are concerned about climate change, working with the parish councils.   • There are still spaces for Roly's Run, which takes place in Swanmore on October 6. Run or walk for 15,20 or 40 miles (10 hour time limit) on the beautiful trails of the South Downs. Organised by three friends in memory of their friend Rich (Roly) who passed away far too young. It is raising money for Sepsis Trust, Papworth Hospital and Help for Heroes.   • An emotional and educational evening of Swanmore's history during The Great War will take place at St Barnabas' Church on Wednesday, November 6 at 7pm. The talk titled The Missing 5 will discuss those mentioned on both the Roll of Honour and the War Memorial itself and also covering village life before, during and immediately after the war.   • The Pumpkin Patch is to return for its second year at Lycroft Farm, Park Lane, near Droxford/Upper Swanmore. There will be wand making, potion creation, wizard workshops, a broomstick academy, straw bale cinema, a café, plus more.
