The coming months are packed with autumnal activities including half term and Halloween, and the approach to Christmas celebrations, which draw visitors from across the UK and further afield to the city.
In addition, 2025 marks the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth.
The Hampshire-born world-famous author died in College Street in Winchester and is buried in Winchester Cathedral.
Fans from all over the world will travel to the area to take part in the official Jane Austen 250 celebrations.
