MAGISTRATES have ordered a thief to pay back the stores he targeted.
James Hall, 26, of Sussex Street, Winchester, stole two bottles of vodka worth £28 from M&S in Winchester High Street and four bottle of Peroni lager valued at £7.50 from Tesco on September 15, a court heard.
Hall admitted the charges. Basingstoke Magistrates Court ordered he pay £35.50 in compensation.
There was no order for costs because of his lack of money and the priority for compensation.
