The comedian reflects on his repressed parents, the challenge of living up to his principled father, and the desire to leave the world better for his own children.

Hoult intersperses his stand-up with comic snapshots of his family, from gorillas and Ouija boards to Christmas memories.

His journey of self-discovery takes him back to his working-class roots, exploring the significance of the name Colin.

Hoult, known for his roles in After Life, Ghosts, and This Time with Alan Partridge, is also a successful writer.

His shows, including Colin Hoult's Carnival of Monsters, have received critical acclaim.

He is well known for his celebrated ‘has-been actress’ character Anna Mann and has received great critical acclaim for his live shows, which were listed among the best-reviewed comedy shows at the Fringe by British Comedy Guide.

Colin Hoult will perform at The Theatre Royal, Winchester, on Friday, October 11 at 7.30pm.
