AN ELDERLY couple died in a crash on a Hampshire road while returning home after visiting family in Winchester.
John and Joan Boyall, 81 and 80, of Kibworth Beauchamp, near Leicester, were driving their Volvo XC40 on the A303 westbound near Sutton Scotney on the morning of Friday, September 6 when they collided with a Toyota Aygo, an inquest heard.
The road remained closed for most of the day from where it meets junction 8 on the M3, and a police appeal was launched to find out more about the crash.
Assistant coroner Kiran Chahal-Musgrave adjourned the inquest.
A full inquest will be held at Winchester Coroner's Court on August 6 next year.
