The Meon Valley Lions Club has thanked the community for supporting its summer events.
The club expressed gratitude for the community's participation in various summer events, including the Droxford Country Fair, Bishop's Waltham Family Fun Day, Colden Common Fete, Swanmore Fete, and Knowle Village Picnic in the Park.

"They helped provide a great day out whilst raising essential funds for those who need our help. It was so lovely to see so many people out enjoying themselves."
The spokesperson particularly highlighted the Swanmore Fete, where the club took on the role of organising the entire event.
Despite the weather challenges, the day was deemed a success, with a range of activities and attractions including a dog show, racing pigs, traditional fairground attractions, over 40 stallholders, storytelling sessions, live music, a beer tent, and a barbecue.

The spokesperson said: "What a day. And a massive thanks to the many helpers, without whom we just couldn’t put on the show."
The Meon Valley Lions Club is inviting new members to join their ranks. Prospective members can find more information on the club's website.
The spokesperson added: "It’s not all work, we have plenty of fun too organised by our social committee."
The club is also looking for volunteers to help run its minibus service, which provides transportation for local residents to various events.

The Meon Valley Lions Club continues to play an active role in the community, and its summer events have not only provided entertainment but have also raised vital funds for those in need.
The club's commitment to serving the community remains steadfast, and it looks forward to another successful season of activities and events.
