Theatre Royal Winchester will host a talent night featuring performances by people seeking sanctuary.
The Sanctuary Local Talent Night will take place on Thursday, October 3, at 7pm and will celebrate various cultures from around the world, from people now living in the region.
The event will showcase acts who have delighted theatre-goers previously and Hat Fair attendees, including 432 Nomads.
This group will present Clash of Cultures - a vibrant cultural showcase with lively dances, evocative poetry and traditional music played on authentic instruments – telling the stories of diverse communities through rhythm and movement, exploring the heritage of migrant cultures.
Kalyna Choir, formed by Ukrainian women in Winchester, will also perform.
The choir aims to share their culture with different nations of people, their songs and traditional dresses that have already brought pleasure to those who have seen them.
The full line-up is yet to be confirmed.
Theatre Royal Winchester has adopted a 'Pick Your Price' model for this event, allowing attendees to choose a ticket price that suits them, starting at £4.
