A HAMPSHIRE country pub has scooped up a coveted national award.
The Duke on The Test, located just outside Romsey, has been honoured with a prestigious ROSE Award by the country's official tourist board, VisitEngland.

The pub says the award underpins The Duke on the Test’s commitment to delivering a "memorable stay for every guest and highlights the hotel's dedication to creating a welcoming atmosphere and providing exceptional service, reflecting the true spirit of English hospitality".
The ROSE Awards, an accolade that recognises outstanding hospitality across the UK, celebrate accommodation providers that offer "exceptional warmth and remarkable guest experiences".
The awards, whose letters stand for “Recognition of Service Excellence,” are given by VisitEngland to accommodation providers who demonstrate extraordinary guest service. The Duke on the Test stood out for its exceptional ability to make guests feel welcome and for consistently providing an enriching experience.
Winners were nominated by VisitEngland’s quality scheme assessors and selected from assessor comments and online feedback from overseas and domestic visitors.

VisitEngland Director Andrew Stokes said: “The ROSE Awards recognise the accommodation providers in England who deliver a fantastic welcome, provide outstanding customer service and make magical memories for their visitors.
